Not a bad morning!

I've been wanting to try the "Tapata" training method (Sprint 20 seconds, rest 10 secs X 8) for a while now, and for some reason, this morning felt right to give it a go!

I could only set 6 sets of 20 seconds on the WattBike, so I thought since its my first go that would probably do the trick! And it did! this training is HARD, but even though I was dead at the end, it felt right, like its the training I should be doing more often.

I will probably do this once a week, and see how it goes - fingers crossed that it does the trick come Indoor Champs in March!

I also had the pleasure of being a test subject this morning, I had to cycle for 15 minutes just like last week, but this time I did it in my Skiing jacket to replicate exercising in hot conditions.  I ended up being 100m worse off than when I did it in "normal" cycling clothes, with a higher max HR which was to be expected.  I enjoy finding out what affects my body, and If I raced in a hot country and didn't hydrate myself or acclimatise my body to the conditions, that 100m could make ALL the difference between winning & losing.

Good to know that.
